Students in Mrs. Wewers’ class worked in groups to analyze a retelling of The Prometheus Myth. They provided summarized pieces of the text and pulled evidence to determine his character. This is a launch activity for their first class novel- The Lightning Thief.



Mrs. Pope’s 5th grade students have been working on writing 6 word memoirs as a beginning of the year activity. They were challenged to write their story using only 6 words. Today students shared their story with the rest of the class.


In an effort to help all remember, students were teaching other students the procedures for independent reading time in Mrs. Wilkerson's first grade classroom today.

3rd & 4th grade students in Ms. Hudson's classes enjoyed a new spin on Art class today! They had the opportunity to soak up some sunshine while helping to draw messages to share with everyone - Bee Kind, Happy, Nice, Smart...Bee You!

Mrs. Jones' 1st grade students have learned about the design process in science. Today, they put this knowledge into action, creating a design to keep a cat from scratching the legs of a chair. Students worked in groups, creating & testing various chair protectors they designed.

Fifth grade students in Mrs. Theresa Taylor's science classes learning about the effects of pollution in the environment through a dilution lab.
