This week Paris Middle School students were introduced to various forms of art during their time in the library with Mrs. Anne Canada. They were given the opportunity to view and analyze Our Town by Kerry James Marshall, a painting currently on exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
Mrs. Canada is a member of the 2018-19 Arkansas Declaration of Learning team of teachers who were recently trained on how to utilize art as tools in education to further complex thinking strategies, support empathetic response to alternative viewpoints, and encourage students to become civically engaged in their school, local, state, and world communities.
