Paris Middle School participated for their third year in a very important service project this fall. Karla Allen from Ozarks Water Project visited with PMS faculty and students last month about how they can help get clean, safe water to people in need on a global scale by donating used shoes. Students began collecting used but wearable shoes September 10th to donate to Ozarks Water Project. They in turn will sell these shoes to a company who will provide them to those in need of shoes. The money OWP receives will be used to dig wells and install water pumps and filtration systems in villages in Haiti.
Paris Middle School students successfully collected over 500 pairs of shoes this fall. Way to go!
