5th grade students recently made a replica of our downtown "Just Wingin' It" mural. Displayed at the PMS campus, the feathers were decorated to explain what makes them an eagle - something they're proud of, their hopes or their dreams. #wearepariseagles
8th grade students working hard to hone their communication and teamwork skills during the SWAT challenges today!
Paris Middle School has been conducting the S.W.A.T. program for all eighth grade students for the past 12 years, to build teamwork, confidence, improve critical thinking skills and increase knowledge. S.W.A.T. stands for Surviving Withstanding Achieving Together.
Students are strategically placed on teams at the beginning of the school year, earning bonus points for for positive behaviors such as perfect attendance and showing good character. S.W.A.T. points can be deducted for negative behaviors such as being assigned to ISS and After School Detention.
The eighth graders compete in academic and physical challenges throughout the school year, as well as travel to some outdoor learning sites. #wearepariseagles

The Paris Middle School Honor Society will hold an induction ceremony on February 6 at 6:00 pm in the Middle School Auditorium. Students who will be inducted were mailed letters to their guardians last week. Congrats! #wearepariseagles
Guy Fenter Science Speciliast, Dr. Curtis Varnell, visited recently with Mrs. Taylor's 5th grade science students at PMS. Varnell shared some hands-on experiments with the students about solutions and solvents, showing them with a little skittle science! #realworldapplications #wearepariseagles
