2019 Sales Tax Holiday
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday August 3, 2019, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday August 4, 2019, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain School Supplies, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.
All retailers are required to participate and may not charge tax on items that are legally tax-exempt during the Sales Tax Holiday.

Annual Football Kids Camp will be on Thursday, August 1st and Friday, August 2nd. Sign-up sheets are located at the High School and Middle School offices.
Our 8th grade students and teachers who are currently visiting Washington, D.C., had a very unique experience while visiting Mt. Vernon yesterday. They had the opportunity to wait out a storm in George Washington's root cellar! Everyone is safe but wet!
UPDATE - Due to flooding, the New Blaine park location for the Bookmobile has been temporarily changed to the New Blaine Church of Christ at 18875 E State Hwy 22 from 11 am - 11:20 am to serve lunch & check out books, beginning June 3rd, 2019!

Join us, starting next week, for a free lunch and books from our bookmobile! Meals at no charge are also being offered at our PMS cafeteria. This is open to all children 18 and under. Menus will be listed on our school website. Have a great summer!

8th grade students in Mr. Ty Varnell's Career Development class recently completed their "What I Am" Project. Students were randomly assigned careers, which they had to research, dress the part and make a presentation to the class about their career.
PMS Student Council enjoyed their visit to the Fort Smith Historic Site last week!
Students at Paris Middle School in Mr. Ty Varnell's Engineering and Technology Education (E.T.E.) class spent the past week designing, building and launching their own rockets. Students explored the theories of aerodynamics and weight.They even learned how to measure the altitude of their launch.

***Mark Your Calendars*** Paris School District will have NEW and CURRENT student registration for the 2019/20 school year on July 31st and August 1st, 2019 from 1:00-7:00 P.M in the high school cafeteria.
Paris Middle School will have an end of the year awards assembly TODAY at 1:30 in the auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend! This will include the NJHS ceremony, followed by the grade level awards.
