PMS celebrated Ms. June Gilbreath on May 10th for her 46 years in education! June is retiring at the end of the 2018/19 school year. We will greatly miss such an amazing teacher and role model and wish her well on her new journey!



The Career and Technical Education Advisory Council held their annual meeting on May 10th. Teachers were able to share the experiences the career and technical education classes offer to our students. Community members were able to offer feedback about skills that need to be addressed for the future workforce.


Paris Middle School held their annual 8th grade honors banquet recently to recognize students for their academic accomplishment of maintaining a 3.0 GPA throughout their time at PMS. Congratulations!

Volleyball: Current seventh grade volleyball students FYI – practice will be next week on Wednesday and Thursday at PHS gym from 3:30 – 5:30. If you are going to come to practice you MUST have a physical COMPLETED BEFORE practice. Physical forms are available in the office.

Paris Schools will NOT be in session on Friday, May 10th. Teacher Professional Development day. Enjoy your long weekend!

Due to the expected severe weather Booneville has cancelled the Regional STEM Competition scheduled for tomorrow - according to Booneville, it will not be rescheduled. All projects need picked up and taken home today or tomorrow. Catapults and People Powered Vehicles are in the gym. We are very sorry about any inconvenience, and are super proud of all your hard work!!!

Tabitha Fondren with Harbor House in Fort Smith spoke with PMS students on May 6th about the dangers of vaping and other popular illegal substances.

PMS STEM competitions will start at 9 am. However, the people powered vehicle competition has been postponed until after 5/6th grade lunch at about 12:35 pm. Good luck to all students!

PMS students enjoyed performances by the 6th gr beginning band as well as the 7th/8th grade band this morning!

Middle School STEM competition will be Monday, May 6, beginning at 9 am. Regional STEM Competition will be May 9 at Booneville. Good luck everyone!

The Spring Concert will be Sunday, May 5 @ 2 PM. Students will need to be at PMS by 1:15, dressed in their Sunday Best. Don't forget your instrument and music! Performances by 6th gr beginning band, 7/8 gr jazz band, 7/8 gr concert band, PHS jazz band, and PHS concert band.
